Twitter

Hey everyone, I’ve been doing some serious thinking lately.

If you know me, you probably know I’ve got this Twitter addiction I just can't seem to get over with. No matter how hard I try, I keep getting sucked back into it. But truth be told, being on Twitter doesn't lift my spirits... it's more like a joyless roller coaster ride that's been taking a toll on my mental and physical health.

So, I’m handing over the keys to my Twitter account to someone I trust in real life. This anonymous associate is going to be my Twitter bouncer, keeping me away from shitty Twitter discourses. But, I'm not gonna stop posting on that hell app. I’ll still be sharing my drawings and dropping by to give your replies a thumbs-up every now and then.

I won’t be checking my DMs in real-time anymore. Instead, this trusted friend will collect all your messages and send them to me via good ol’ snail mail every few weeks. Yeah I know, it’s a bit old-school, but I’m hoping it’ll give me some breathing space from the Twitter chaos.

It's not an easy decision, but it’s one I’m making for my own sanity. Twitter’s been messing with my head and seeping into every corner of my life. By putting up this barrier, I’m taking back some control over how much of my life is consumed by social media.

This move isn’t about ditching Twitter entirely... it’s more like hitting the reset button. I want to hold onto the parts of Twitter that make me happy while avoiding the parts that drag me down.

Hopefully I won't go back in a week.

I needed to update how this blog looks anyway.

You can find me on Instagram, Bluesky, Newgrounds and DeviantArt.

BLOG: Well, shit.

You know when you feel like you had enough but a part of you still wants to keep going? That's my unhealthy relationship with X, formerly known as Twitter. I think I'll just post more small micro blogs here, I suppose.

Besides. Nobody seems to read my posts anyways but its fine.

BLOG: Honestly? Yeah.

It's been a while since the last time I wrote anything here. And honestly? Yeah.

Twitter has been negatively affecting my mental health and I needed to stop. I still have some accounts running there, but I'm just gonna post less there. Or trying to.

The thing is about social media is that it's really addicting, the numbers of Likes and Views really gives you this dopamine kick. I wish it wasn't really like that, but alas.

I really hope Google will still keep Blogger site up and running because how easy it is to set-up your own website.

It's not a semantic web, Web 3.0, or web3 or whatever, but as long as it's accessible to all devices I don't think it should be a problem

2022.

I feel like there's no need for introduction that over the past two years, humanity has been dealing with the darkest of times since World War II. COVID-19 Pandemic has caused a lot of people to become clinically online, and some are losing their grasps on reality and becoming radicalized. Including myself.

We all really want safety and certainty. COVID threw all of that out of the window. People are psychologically scarred and desperately seeking for answers.

I've been struggling with depression for almost 2/3rd of my life and I've never felt genuine happiness ever since. And I honestly don't know what the future holds.

I just hope it won't be as bad as 2020 and 2021.

Happy New Year.

BLOG: Blogging In 2022

Let me get this out of the way: If you are trying to make money from blogging in 2022 and beyond, you're crazy. The rise of social media and the shortening of people's attention spans are the main reasons why you should not definitely make a career from blogging. Nobody reads long texts anymore.

But look at the bright side, if your intentions of blogging is to just blog and don't give a rat's ass about the SEO, the analytics, then you should be fine.

As I wrote earlier from my very first post, the reason I blog is simply because I like blogging. I like writing long journals. As a kid, I've practiced writing anything on my diary. I don't fill my diary almost every day, but I managed to write multiple diaries throughout my life.

It's really fun, and you get to learn how to type better. Or, if you have one of those fancy grammar extension on your browser, it'll help you improve your grammars.

The other reason why I really like blogging is the feeling of being free of constant waiting for the likes and retweets on my posts. And that makes me feel a bit obsessed over it, since I'm an Asperger with an attention span of a dead squirrel.

I think the right reason for blogging in 2022 and beyond is NOT to make money, that comes later. It's to preserve the “art” of blogging. Wow, that sentence just made me pretentious, but the point still stands.

Just like horse riding and cooking, I think blogging should be preserved. I just hope one day there will be some sort of 'Blogging Revival', as the younger generations start blogging just for the hell of it.

Social media gets us all connected, but at the cost of personalities. Blogging is the place where people can read your thoughts and aspirations without character limitations or expecting a lot of clout.

BLOG: How I Got Roped Into Crazy Conspiracies, Radicalized, and How I Got Out

If you spent some time on the internet, you've probably stumbled upon some insane conspiracy theories, or at least people who believe in them. I think it's really safe to say, even you believe in at least one conspiracy theory. From harmless stuff like Flat Earth to something that's detrimental to society like the anti-vaccine movement, conspiracies are everywhere.

Even I was really deeply entrenched in conspiracy theories and almost joined a terror cell, let's talk about it.

Blogger...

Sup,

You know, it's been a long time since I've written any blog, especially on Blogger, or Blogspot. I don't know why I keep coming back to this website. But the thing is, I really want to keep the art of blogging alive.

Why? I really don't know, honestly. I thought it was to distract my mind from social media, exercise self-discipline, or maybe procrastinating? Furthermore, I'm completely unsure about it. But if I really want to be honest with you, it's because I like writing blogs.

I know a lot of my followers are probably too young to remember, and I feel really freaked out about it because Number 1: MY CONTENT IS 18+ ONLY, and Number 2: I'M FEELING OLD NOW DAMMIT, but blogging used to be really big. Like, REAL big.

How big? Well imagine your favorite vloggers, let's say, I don't know, Logan Paul. Does he still make vlogs? I don't know. But anyway. Imagine a vlog, but in text form. I know, crazy, right? Who in their right mind would have the attention span to read texts these days?
