Blogger...

Sup,

You know, it's been a long time since I've written any blog, especially on Blogger, or Blogspot. I don't know why I keep coming back to this website. But the thing is, I really want to keep the art of blogging alive.

Why? I really don't know, honestly. I thought it was to distract my mind from social media, exercise self-discipline, or maybe procrastinating? Furthermore, I'm completely unsure about it. But if I really want to be honest with you, it's because I like writing blogs.

I know a lot of my followers are probably too young to remember, and I feel really freaked out about it because Number 1: MY CONTENT IS 18+ ONLY, and Number 2: I'M FEELING OLD NOW DAMMIT, but blogging used to be really big. Like, REAL big.

How big? Well imagine your favorite vloggers, let's say, I don't know, Logan Paul. Does he still make vlogs? I don't know. But anyway. Imagine a vlog, but in text form. I know, crazy, right? Who in their right mind would have the attention span to read texts these days?

Probably you. Or me. Or whoever reached this point.

So anyway, I decided to move back to Blogger because I have been using this service since the mid-2000s. I really don't remember my first blog, probably it's still around floating somewhere within the blogosphere.

I'm probably going to talk like a boomer here, maybe I am slowly becoming a boomer, but I think sometimes we need a little break from the clout or the social media.

A blog is basically your personal online diary that anyone can read. It's not really an amazing concept, but I think it's way cooler than the character limits of Twitter because you can basically type as many characters as humanly possible.

Right now, I feel like wanting to talk about how I got into blogging.

If I remember correctly, I knew about blogging since the early 2000s, during the dial-up days. I used to go to a cybercafé called The Palladium after school. In case anyone here doesn't know what a cybercafé was, it was a place for people to access the internet using a computer. This was before smartphones.

I'm not sure if there are still cybercafés around, considering everyone owns a smartphone these days and COVID-19 Pandemic is still around.

My brother and I used to play LAN and online games there, such as Counter-Strike 1.4 and Grand Theft Auto III. Speaking of GTA, you'd probably known about the disastrous release of GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition. It was bad, nuff said.

I didn't immediately get interested in blogging until I was about 11 or something, when I was a book about “How to Make A Blog” at a bookstore. For anyone here who grew up in the late-2000s, this shit really does sound archaic, but that's how it was. Hell, when I was in 7th grade the computer class taught kids some pretty obvious stuff, like 'how to start a computer' or 'how to use the keyboard and mouse' or 'how to open Google.com'. Stuff that make zoomers cringe because of how easy it is now for basically everyone to use a computer.

So I started writing. And it does feel good to basically dump your every thought into a blog post. It's fun, and back then the feeling of wanting clout wasn't as big and all you just did was post and hopefully one or two people would read.

Amazing.
